“I came for taxonomy and stayed for the board-pack English. Our CPO now asks for the limitation in sentence two. The Mixpanel-heavy homework still niggles — we run Amplitude — but the synonym ban is in the engineering handbook.”

The double trial on a shared iPad
A United Kingdom marketplace sat Signal Architecture after finance noticed trial counts drifting from revenue. The identity module produced a stitching rule that treated household devices as a first-class exception rather than a bug. Trial starts fell in the dashboard and rose in credibility. They still cannot see in-app browser users who never log in; Helena wrote that limit into their weekly letter so sales would stop arguing with a ghost funnel.

DAU as a quarrel, not a north star
An audio app used Daily Active Users as the all-hands slide. After a Desk Note and a later Retention Atelier, they replaced the slide with a seven-day returning-listener cohort keyed off a completed-play event, not an app-open. Listening time in the retained bucket moved; DAU did not, which was the point. The reservation they still hold: the atelier did not rebuild their warehouse models, and they had to wait a sprint for engineering.
Client in regulated fintech: “The GDPR-aware identity class was the only analytics teaching I have sat that mentioned the ICO without a wink. Dry. Useful.”
“Session forensics stopped us quoting a single rage-tap as a trend. I wanted a bigger sample. The workshop insisted on a question first. Annoying, then correct.”
