Refunds

Last updated 18 August 2026. This notice applies when a teaching contract has been formed by written acceptance. Browsing this website and sending a contact form do not create a charge.

Eligibility

Refunds are available for Studio Term seats (including Signal Architecture) and for shorter taught clinics when you cancel in writing before the stated cut-off. Desk Notes are eligible only if we have not yet started the written critique. Retained Desk months already begun are not unwound mid-month except where we cancel the sitting.

Timeframe

For a Studio Term, a full refund is available if we receive your cancellation at least fourteen clear days before the first seminar. Between thirteen days and the first seminar, a partial refund applies. After the first seminar has been held, fees are not returned except where the studio is unable to deliver the remaining term.

For a two- or five-day clinic, the full-refund cut-off is seven clear days before the first session.

Full and partial refunds

A full refund returns the tuition you paid for that programme, excluding any bank charges we cannot recover. A partial refund for a late Studio Term cancellation is the tuition minus a £320 preparation charge covering syllabus reservation and the first written pack already produced. If we cancel a term, you receive a full refund of sums paid for that term, or — if you prefer — a transfer to a later term without the preparation charge.

Non-refundable items

The following are not returned once delivered or consumed: a completed Desk Note; printed studio letters already posted; third-party software licences you bought yourself; travel you arranged to Kirktown (our taught terms are remote, so travel is never required). VAT accounted to HMRC on an invoice that has been settled is handled according to United Kingdom invoicing rules; we will issue a credit note where a refund is due.

Process

Write to info@resourcevectorbase.digital with the subject “Refund”, the programme name, and the email used on the acceptance thread. You may also telephone 079 4105 5391 or write to 53 Witney Way; Kirktown; AB42 3HY; United Kingdom. We confirm receipt within two working days and state whether the request falls inside a full or partial window.

Processing time and method

Approved refunds are paid within fourteen working days of our confirmation, by the same method used to pay the invoice (typically bank transfer). We do not refund onto a card this website never collected. If your organisation paid from a different account than the one you name, we refund the original payer unless both parties instruct otherwise in writing.

Cancellation by you

A cancellation is effective when it reaches the desk in writing. Missing a seminar is not a cancellation. You may send a substitute colleague to a Studio Term if you tell us before session two; the completion letter will carry the person who actually sat the work.

Cancellation by us and other exceptions

If the instructor is ill and we cannot staff a comparable sitting within twenty-one days, you may choose a full refund or a later term. If you breach confidentiality we have agreed in the acceptance letter, or submit material you do not have rights to share, we may end the term without refund of sessions already given. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded under United Kingdom consumer law remain; if you enrolled as a consumer and the contract was concluded at a distance, we will honour any cooling-off right that applies in addition to the windows above, and we will say so on the acceptance letter.
